WHAT TO CONSIDER AFTER IMPLANT SURGERY

We have prepared the answers to questions such as "Do I need to compress?", "Can I brush my teeth after implant surgery?", "When will I have my stitches removed after implant surgery?"


  • Do not rinse your mouth for at least half an hour, do not eat or drink anything for two hours.

  • Bite the tampon (cotton) placed on the area for half an hour.

  • Do not spit in the hours following the operation.

  • You may have bleeding in the form of leakage for 6-24 hours after the operation. This blood gets into your saliva and stains it, and it may seem like you're bleeding a lot. Don't worry, and if you think you're bleeding a lot, contact your dentist.

  • It should be kept in mind that there may be small swellings and bruises in the operation area and there should be no panic.

  • Make a cold compress from the outside in the operation area for 24 hours. Continue this compress as a cold pad for 10 minutes, a break for 10 minutes, and a cold pad for 10 minutes.

  • Do not eat or drink hot food. Use the other side for 2 days. Prefer cold or warm food and drinks. Do not take hot baths, do not be in hot environments. Do not walk around in the sun.

  • Do not neglect your oral care and spray and mouthwash in accordance with your dentist's recommendations use it. Take care to use the given medications regularly and on time. Do not use aspirin.

  • Do not smoke for at least two days. Smoking delays the healing of the extraction site and causes infection.

  • After a week, consult your dentist to have your stitches removed. span>
